Ruby Sachdev, a consultant and aesthetic physician at VLCC  Bangalore, said, “It is true that we can avoid it as much as we want, but we and our skin will age. And the main symptoms of ageing are dark circles under the eyes and bags. As we age, our skin naturally loses collagen and becomes thinner.






This makes the veins around the eyes clearer and the dark circles around the eyes more visible. Stress, extra screen exposure and lack of sleep are also causes. ”









Home Remedies for Dark Circles.

Ruby Sachdev shared some home remedies:




1.Bake cold

Bake in the morning or evening with cucumber pieces or juice for 10 minutes or twice a day. It brightens the skin. Cold green tea bags contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.





2. Use tomatoes

Tomatoes are a rich source of lycopene, a great ingredient for cardiovascular health, vision and skin. Mix equal amount of tomato juice with lemon juice and apply with cotton.







3. Potato juice

Potato juice is a rich source of vitamin-C, antioxidant and great for the synthesis of collagen formation. Soak potato juice in cotton and apply on your eyes for ten minutes and rinse with mild warm water.






4. Use dairy products

Dairy foods like cold milk, buttermilk with turmeric paste are rich sources of vitamin-A to contain retinoids. These brighten and rejuvenate the skin. You can apply this ingredient on the lower part of your eyes with cotton.






5. Oil massage

Massaging the lower part of the eyes with oil can be a great way.



1. Vitamin E oil fights free radicals which are the main cause of ageing symptoms




2. Coconut oil has natural anti-inflammatory properties



3. Argon oil is a rich source of vitamin E.



4. Grapeseed oil is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties



5. Yellow paste is a natural ingredient that is found in every home and its anti-inflammatory properties reduce dark circles.

How to prevent dark circles?



Dr Sourav Sharma, MS and MCH (Plastic Surgeon) advise, “Most of the time dark circles are temporary and often occur due to ageing or lack of sleep. Although there are plenty of home remedies and home remedies to get rid of eye skin, there is usually nothing to worry about with dark circles. If discolouration or swelling worsens over time, be sure to see a doctor. He also said some tips to prevent dark circles. Take a look:





1. Try to reduce work and stress.


2. Eat foods rich in iron and vitamin C. Iron-rich foods will increase your hemoglobin levels and reduce your dark circles.


3. Always moisturise the skin of the eyes. Dry, dehydrated skin will dull the area under the eyes.









Dr Sharma suggests some home remedies for dark circles:



1. Use cold cucumber pieces

Cucumbers contain antioxidants that can reduce puffiness around the eyes. Cucumber as a natural astringent compresses skin tissue. Place the cut cucumber pieces over the two eyes. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse.






2. Try a cold tea bag

The antioxidants and caffeine in tea bags help to constrict blood vessels and reduce fluid retention. Tannin in tea can reduce discolouration.






3. Sleep more

Dark circles occur when sleep is low. Sleep deprivation makes your skin pale, which makes dark circles clearer. Rest for seven to eight hours.






4. Sleep with your head held high

How you sleep is a big issue, just as dark circles are when you sleepless. Elevate with a few pillows under the head to prevent dark circles that balance the fluid under the eyes.










In addition to home remedies, there are some effective treatments that reduce dark circles.





1. Chemical pills to reduce pigmentation.


2. Laser surgery to rejuvenate the skin and strengthen the skin.


3. Medical tattoos for thin skin pigment injections.


4. Tissue fillers in the blood vessels and melanin that causes discolouration of the skin under your eyes
